Thanks to watching her siblings at Alodia Basketball Academy during their skills training, she is now able to perform most of those drills herself. This is her first practice/game film. The Jubilee Plot was a failed assignation attempt on Queen Victoria during her Golden Jubilee which was held on June 20th 1887. It was intended to blow up Westminster Abbey, Queen Victoria and half the British Cabinet. The organizer of the assassination attempt was later said to be Francis Millen of Clan na Gael. However, he had been a spy in the service of the British authorities for several years (from 1885 under Edward Jenkinson of the of the Home Office with the approval of the Prime Minister, Lord Salisbury), and was encouraged by them to draw in more Fenians, who could be captured. A bombing attempt of this order could also be used to discredit the increasingly troublesome (from the British governments point of view) Irish Parliamentary Party and other Irish Nationalists. In June various newspapers reported that a plot to assassinate the Queen with bombs planted in Westminster Abbey had been discovered. In the following October a recently-deceased American was declared by the Assistant Commissioner of the police, James Monro, to have been the financier of the plot. Two Irishmen who visited Cohen, Callan and Harkins were arrested and charged with bringing dynamite into the country. In fact, both of them had been followed by police ever since their arrival in Britain in June. After their trial, Monro exposed Millen as the organizer of the plot but Millen was allowed to escape to the United States where he died in mysterious circumstances. Not gonna lie, this was the hardest video I ever had to make (idea-wise). Story: After a beautiful wedding with our beloved couple, Conner and Abby; the past comes back a'knocking. Anomalies open up everywhere. The whole world knows and are in danger. The before scenario that the weather patterns are changing the Earth into the future where the predators roamed while the people lived underground has come true. Governments from every country are forced to send out their armies to take down the creatures as well as the what is happening to the earth. Future/Alt. Matt's warning proves to the team that things are not quite finished yet and forces the team to go into the future to fix what is wrong this time. The battle is now moved away from just the team. This time everyone is involved; Matt, Conner, and Abby go into the future while Becker, Jess, Lester and the armies stay back in the present to help out there. The timeline is divided and instead of looking in the past or present, the key to saving the world lies in the future. Abbey Lincoln died this day, August the 14th, 2010. She had just turned 80 years old on August 6th. She was born Anna Marie Wooldridge, but took the stage name of Abbey Lincoln. She was a jazz vocalist, songwriter, and actress. Abbey was unique in that she wrote and performed her own compositions. She sang on the landmark jazz civil rights recording, "We Insist! -- Freedom Now Suite" (1960) by drummer Max Roach, to whom Lincoln was married from 1962 to 1970. Especially since this album, Abbey Lincoln was connected to the political fight against racism in the United States. She worked with other jazz musicians like Sonny Rollins, Eric Dolphy, Coleman Hawkins, Jackie McLean, Clark Terry, Stanley Turrentine, Wynton Kelly, Cedar Walton, Joe Lovano, Pat Metheny, Ron Carter, Miles Davis and made albums with Stan Getz, Mal Waldron and Archie Shepp. "Throw It Away" comes from an album she made with Shepp, called "Painted Lady". I only saw her perform once, at the Vogue Theatre in Vancouver. She was naturally elegant, her humanity never hidden in artifice. She sang with grace from the center of her being. Her songs showed wisdom and heart. We'll miss you, Abbey. Thanks for the beautiful music and songs.
