A song by Gaelic Storm from "Special Reserve" album. We set sail at half-past morn, looking for a new tomorrow, don't know when we're coming home, so we'll drink, and we'll dance, and we'll drown our sorrow! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! Now, I don't know what there lies in store, but it's better than this That's why I'm willing , to stake my claim on a foreign shore, whit me spoons, and me fiddle, and half a shlling! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! I dreamt a place, I know it's true where the dolphins play and it's always sunny. The girls are brown and the ocean blue, less work to do, but you make more money! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! I must be off by morning's light, I can hear our bo'sun's whistle blowing, so its one more kiss, and one more fight, and one more song while the beer is flowing! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! When the sky is grey, look out to sea. When the waves are high and the light is dying, well raise a glass and think of me... When I'm home again, boys, I'll be buying! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away! Weigh-hey! Hey Laddie Hey! Weigh, hey, hey! We'll drink the night away!

One of the songs off Gaelic Storms new album - Rumpus gaelicstorm.musiccitynetworks.com *Lyrics Below* _______________________________ Well you know I gotta say I met a lot of friends this way, when the sun goes down Just hanging with the crew knocking back a brew or two A brew or two! A brew or two or three or four! Chorus: Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! A' quarter to three, we're feeling fine when the sun comes up I'm gonna miss my friend moonshine. Well the dogs and the cats and those raccoon chaps in their furry hats, gathered around. And the rooks and the ravens started to sing and flap their wings Flap sing, flap sing, flap sing Oh! Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! A' quarter to three, we're feeling fine when the sun comes up I'm gonna miss my friend moonshine. Well now the possum screamed as loud as a possum could I said "I understood" when it's all inside you got to let it out. You gotta scream shout! Scream shout! Scream shout! Scream shout! Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! Me and the moon stayed up all night; I brought the whiskey! He brought the light! A' quarter to three, we're feeling fine when the sun comes up I'm gonna miss my friend moonshine. To ...

Buy Song here: www.amazon.com Buy CD here: www.amazon.com Lyrics: Well I'm a little beggarman, I am a beggarman, I'm a little beggar-beggarman, I am a beggar man X Well I'm a little beggarman and begging I have been for three score or more on this little isle of green. And I'm known from the Liffey from the basement to the zoo, And I'm known by the name of old Johnny Dhu. Of all the trades that's goin' the beggin' is the best, For when a man is tired he can sit down and rest He can beg for his dinner, he's nothing else to do When he comes around the corner with his old rig-a-doo. And I met a little flaxy-haired girl one day 'Well good morning' little flaxy-haired girl,' did I say, 'Well good mornin' little beggarman, how do you do, with your rags and your bags and your old rig-a-doo.' I'll buy a pair of leggings and a collar and a tie, And a nice young lady I will fetch by and by. I'll buy a pair of goggles and I'll color them blue And an old fashioned lady I will make of her too. I've got the sky, I've got the road. I've got the sky... The world is my home. I'm a little beggarman, I am a beggar man, And I slept way down, in a barn at Caurabawn A wet night came on and I slept 'till the dawn With holes in the roof and the rain coming through And the rats and the cats, they were playing peek-a-boo When who should awaken but the ...

**added 3/17/09** A little over two years later, this video still shows everything I love about Ireland and one of the best times of my life. Beannachtaí na féile Pádraig and thank you guys so much for your positive comments! I'm glad you love Gaelic Storm and Ireland as much as I do. :0) Welcome to my contest entry! As the video suggests, I'm a New Yorker who was lucky enough to spend some time in Ireland -- and before anyone asks, I did not actually steal that life preserver. I want to thank my amazing friends again for putting up with my project, Gaelic Storm for being generally awesome, and of course, all my love goes out to the man in the picture.

Over the past couple of years Gaelic Storm has become known to play a few bars of Johnny Tarr in different styles before launching into the familiar version of the tune. This footage shot at Stamper's Pub in Fairview Park in March of '05 shows the Jazz, Rap, Country, Blues, and "Stairway to Heaven" versions. Sorry for any littel gaps in the footage as my camera at the time was the type that only took 30 second clips, which I had to string together. Still a decent little movie, though!

Hey there, folks. Just got my hands on Gaelic Storm's latest album, Cabbage, and I love it. Figured I'd upload my favorite song, Cyclone McClusky. Hope you like it as much as I do! If ya like what ya hear, do 'em a favor and at least buy the one song. www.amazon.com --Lyrics-- Twinkling lights come into view as the night swallows the day We listen for the sounds, the screams, the fear and the fun to guide us on our way The barker shouts, into his megaphone: "Step right up and gather 'round, Two nickels buys a ticket, the Carnival's in town!" (Chorus:) We're going 'round, 'round, 'round, wheels on the wall Round, round, round, we're not gonna fall Round, round, round, we're all living for another day We'll ride another day. We're not here for the cotton candy, we're here for the gasoline Were waiting for the show to begin then we'll all hustle in To hear the roar of his machine. McClusky waves, at a pretty girl, blows a kiss We hold our breath He's Cyclone McClusky and he's gonna ride the wall of death (Chorus) And will McClusky live? Or will he die? I paid to watch him fall, or maybe watch him fly I've been afraid to live, I've been afraid to try But if the Cyclone can do it, then, maybe so can I... Now the midway's empty, the ground's gone bare and cold I still can hear the cheers, the screams, the squeal of the wheels like when I was 10 years old It echoes on, it'll never die, I won't let go 'til my last breath I'm living like the Cyclone and I'm riding on the Wall of ...
