Tanita Tikaram - Twist In My Sobriety

Tanita Tikaram (born 12 August 1969, Münster, Germany) is a British pop/folk singer-songwriter, best known for the hits "Twist in My Sobriety" and "Good Tradition" from her 1988 debut album, Ancient Heart. She is the younger sister of actor Ramon Tikaram. Lyrics: All God's children need travelling shoes Drive your problems from here All good people read good books Now your conscience is clear I hear you talk girl Now your conscience is clear In the morning when I wipe my brow Wipe the miles away I like to think I can be so willed And never do what you say I'll never hear you And never do what you say Look my eyes are just holograms Look your love has drawn red from my hands From my hands you know you'll never be More than twist in my sobriety More than twist in my sobriety More than twist in my sobriety We've just poked a little empty pie For the fun that people had at night Late at night don't need hostility The timid smile and pause to free I don't care about their different thoughts Different thoughts are good for me Up in arms and chaste and whole All God's children took their toll Look my eyes are just holograms Look your love has drawn red from my hands From my hands you know you'll never be More than twist in my sobriety More than twist in my sobriety More than twist in my sobriety Cup of tea, takes time to think, yeah Time to risk a life, a life, a life Sweet and handsome Soft and porky You peg out 'til you've seen the light Peg out 'til you've seen the light Half ...

Tanita Tikaram - Cathedral Song

"Cathedral Song" Single by Tanita Tikaram from the album Ancient Heart A-sideCathedral Song B-sideSighing Innocents, Fireflies In The Kitchen, Lets Make Everybody Smile Today, Over To You All [LIVE] Released1989 "Cathedral Song" is a song released as a single from the album Ancient Heart by Tanita Tikaram. It received a nice treatment on music video with an extended length video, portraying love story between two swimmers in a summer. The video was shot in black & white, and Tanita is featured only in studio footage, not on the external footages. The single peaked at #48 in UK. [edit]Releases This song was covered by Brazilian singer Zelia Duncan. Her version, which features similar arrangement but lyrics in Portuguese, was released in her second homonimous album (1994) and became a smash hit in Brazil. Since then Zelia has been a major artist in the country, and "Catedral" (the Brazilian title of the song) is still considered a classic tune. The translated version has also been covered by Leandro, from the duo Leandro e Leonardo. The song was also covered by Renato Russo from the Legião Urbana band.

What do you do for fun? What do you do when you want fun days? Tanita Tikaram - And I think of you

Night is falling I think of you I'm walking home I think of you And as he calls me, yes I do I think of you How you doing? I think of you And I smile, I can't hide I think of you I don't know where your days are spent Your lovers and you friends But I know for sure Of who you have been thinking Far beyond the city's lights Are two who dream a life Forgive them if they never find their freedom Their freedom It's so late I think of you He walks me home I think of you I'm so sorry, I'm so tired I think of you And in the shadows I think of you I close my eyes I think of you Now I'm falling I think of you I think of you As he calls my name, yes I do I think of you I think of you I think of you I think of you I think of you And in feeling I think of you And in breathing I think of you And in seeing I think of you And in living I think of you

Tanita Tikaram - I love you

Johnny was a peculiar guy Brough up on love and the reasons why but the reasons why ought not to be said and so I'm left hands held to my head I love you I love you I love you It's a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful thing It's a beautiful, beautiful thing Chances, changes are all that you have As you take the hard stuff and lie on your back The smoothness, strangeness Fits like a glove But the comfort of tease Still rises above I love you I love you I love you But is it possible, possible, possible babe? Is it possible for you and me? Gold and waves and Betty Blue Are the images that lead to the clues of why I can't love you I can't love you I can't love you It isn't possible

Tanita Tikaram - Play Me Again.

You've got me going, for all your lies You've got me going, the hoop is wide I keep believing, and what have I gained? I'll play you forever So play me again You've got me running all over town You've got me running, so deep am I bound To talk of love is only to flatter Play me again Please play me again In the night time's wandering, that's where I hide For in it's blush I am alive Searching for your light Searching for your light In the beginning, the word is hot Now I see the ruin, but I can't stop For I'm so sentimental Play me again Play me again Play me again Play me again, let me fall through your hands
